Avenir Centre Concert and Event Tickets

The Avenir Centre is more than an arena — it’s a modern cultural hub that energizes downtown Moncton with big-name concerts, thrilling hockey, and city-defining celebrations. If you’re searching for Avenir Centre tickets, you’re headed to the heart of New Brunswick’s entertainment scene, steps from restaurants, nightlife, and local attractions.

Opened on September 8, 2018, the venue quickly became the city’s premier indoor arena, replacing the Moncton Coliseum. It seats 8,800 for hockey and up to 9,500 for concerts, with flexible seating configurations and a glass façade that floods the concourses with natural light. Built with sustainable practices and energy-efficient infrastructure, the arena blends comfort with smart design.

Home to the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, the building hosts fast-paced hockey games alongside a steady stream of concerts, family shows, sporting events, trade shows, and conventions. Avenir Centre events have featured global stars like Elton John, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, Cirque du Soleil, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, The Glorious Sons, and Michael Bublé.

With advanced sound and lighting systems, the arena delivers a polished production experience for touring acts and fans alike. Its multi-purpose layout allows for reserved bowl seating, general admission floor setups for select concerts, and premium viewing in suites and club seats.

Whether you’re here for a packed playoff game or a chart-topping tour, the Avenir Centre offers a seamless, downtown experience with modern amenities, great sightlines, and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Seating Recommendations and Charts

Avenir Centre offers seating for approximately 9,500 guests for concerts (8,800 for hockey), with a flexible bowl that adapts to hockey, end-stage concerts, center-stage shows, and general admission floor setups. Numbered seating sections encircle the ice/floor, with premium suites, club seating, and accessible locations throughout.

Lower Bowl Center (Sections 14–16): These are among the most sought-after seats for both hockey and concerts, delivering optimal, straight-on sightlines and an immersive feel.
Club Seats: Enjoy upgraded comfort, excellent views, and access to premium lounges — ideal for a night out or entertaining guests.
VIP Suites: Private boxes offer a premium experience with a great vantage point over the floor or ice, plus access to dedicated amenities.
Floor/General Admission (select concerts): When available, the floor delivers an up-close concert experience. Arrive early for GA shows to secure your preferred spot.
Accessible Seating: Distributed across multiple areas so guests can choose sightlines that work best for their group, with companion seating available.

When you open the Avenir Centre seating chart, look for lower-bowl center sections for the clearest stage or center-ice view. Use Ticket Purchase’ interactive seating chart to view live seat availability, compare prices, and choose the section that fits your experience.

Located in downtown Moncton, the arena is central to hotels, restaurants, bars, and city attractions — perfect for pre- and post-event plans.

Rideshare & Dropoff: Designated pickup and dropoff zones are adjacent to the main entrance for a smooth arrival and exit.

Arrival Recommendations

Plan to arrive 60–90 minutes before the event start time. This window gives you enough time to park, pass through security screening, check the Avenir Centre seating chart on your phone if needed, and find your seats without rushing. It’s an indoor venue, so once inside, you’re set — just be mindful of potential seasonal traffic around downtown.

Moncton winters can impact travel and parking conditions. Build in extra buffer time during snow or icy weather, and consider public transit or rideshare to minimize delays. Codiac Transpo stops nearby, and rideshare pickup zones sit close to the main entrance, making transit an easy choice on busy nights.

Walking and elevation inside the venue are minimal, and wayfinding is straightforward. If you’re meeting a group, pick a clear landmark near your section or the main concourse before you arrive — downtown crowds can build quickly for major Avenir Centre events.

Venue Navigation

The arena’s bowl configuration features numbered sections encircling the ice or floor, with clear signage leading you to your row and seat. Elevators and accessible routes reach all seating levels, and premium areas like suites and club seating have dedicated entrances and lounge access.

You’ll find concessions across the concourses, plus bars and premium lounges for suite and club guests. Merchandise stands are positioned on the main walkways for easy access before the show and during intermissions. Family restrooms, ATMs, and select charging stations round out the amenities so you can stay comfortable and connected throughout the event.

Security and Policies

Bag Policy: Small bags and purses are permitted and subject to search; large bags and backpacks are typically prohibited.
Prohibited Items: Weapons, outside food and beverage, professional cameras, large bags, noisemakers, and laser pointers.
Re-entry Policy: Generally no re-entry once you exit the venue; exceptions may be made for medical reasons (check with the venue).
Service Animals: Permitted for guests with disabilities.

Post-Purchase Tips — Be Ready for Event Day

Download your tickets before arriving — cell service can be limited.
Bring a valid ID and cashless payment option.
Charge your phone fully.
Review venue policies in advance.
In winter, allow extra time for downtown traffic and parking — snow and ice can slow arrivals.
Popular downtown restaurants can fill up on show nights; book a table in advance if you plan to dine before the event.

Pre-Event Planning

Make a night of it. The Avenir Centre sits in the heart of downtown, so you can meet friends for dinner, then walk to the show in minutes. If you’re coordinating a group, share your entry gate and section ahead of time and aim to arrive together — it makes seating and concessions easier once you’re inside.

Take a moment to enjoy the venue’s modern design as you enter. The glass façade brings in natural light and offers a sense of the city beyond, adding to the arena’s welcoming atmosphere. If you’re headed to a general admission floor concert, arriving early improves your spot and gives you time to explore concessions featuring local flavors.

Checking the event details in advance helps you streamline your plan. Some shows use different stage setups, so review the Avenir Centre seating chart and your digital tickets to confirm your entry point and the best route to your seats.

Accessibility

Avenir Centre is ADA-accessible, with designated accessible parking near the main entrance, accessible seating throughout the arena, companion seating, elevators, and accessible routes to all seating levels. Assistive listening devices are available upon request to support guests with hearing needs.

For assistance choosing accessible seating, contact Ticket Purchase for personalized support before purchasing.

Dining Options

Inside the venue, you’ll find multiple concession stands offering snacks, hot food, and beverages, along with bars and premium lounges for suite and club guests. Expect local craft beer, regional specialties, and vegetarian or gluten-free options so everyone in your group can find something they’ll enjoy.
