Experience Live Blues/Jazz with TicketPurchase.com

Performer Information

The Claudettes are a Chicago-based band blending blues, jazz, rockabilly, punk, and rock into a high-energy, genre-bending sound. If you’re following The Claudettes tour, expect club-sized shows that feel electric from the first note. The current lineup features co-founder and pianist Johnny Iguana, lead vocalist Berit Ulseth, bassist/vocalist Zach Verdoorn, and drummer Matt Torre — a tight unit known for virtuosity and onstage chemistry.

Acclaimed for expanding the boundaries of traditional blues and jazz, the Claudettes channel Windy City piano blues with the full-throttle drive of rockabilly and punk, plus jazz-age echoes of burlesque and vaudeville. Their live shows draw praise for riveting energy, expressive vocals, and fearless fusion — a combination that’s won them a dedicated following across blues, jazz, and rock circles.

Active and touring, the band thrives in intimate venues — clubs, small theaters, and music halls — where musicianship and crowd connection take center stage. Fans come for the bold piano runs, dynamic vocals, and grooving rhythm section; they leave talking about the vibe, the interplay, and how effortlessly the band blurs genres.
