Performer Information

Thinking about an Against Me! concert? Against Me! is a punk rock band from Gainesville, Florida, delivering raw, confessional songs with anthemic hooks and high-energy performances. Formed in 1997 and led by vocalist-guitarist Laura Jane Grace, the band channels politically charged lyrics and cathartic sing-alongs that have defined their nearly three-decade run.

Across a powerful catalog, Against Me! has released landmark albums that shaped modern punk and alternative rock. Their debut full-length, Against Me! Is Reinventing Axl Rose (2002), introduced their gritty folk-punk roots, followed by As the Eternal Cowboy (2003) and the acclaimed Searching for a Former Clarity (2005). New Wave (2007) brought broader attention with production from Butch Vig, while White Crosses (2010) leaned into a more melodic edge. Transgender Dysphoria Blues (2014) stands out for its unflinching exploration of identity and its cultural impact, and Shape Shift with Me (2016) continued the band’s evolution.

On any Against Me! tour, you can expect a sweat-soaked, communal atmosphere where crowd connection drives the night. The band often packs clubs, theaters, and festivals, and shows in major markets frequently sell out thanks to a loyal fanbase. With Laura Jane Grace at the helm—supported by longtime guitarist James Bowman, bassist Andrew Seward, and drummer Atom Willard—the group’s inclusive spirit and intense delivery make every set unforgettable.
